职位描述
JOB PURPOSE To plan, lead and control the Technical function of the Powder Coatings business and to participate as a member of the senior management team of the business. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Liaise with JV partner, Duluxgroup Australia, to maintain transferred technology, and stay abreast of the development of new technology, products and raw materials. Ensure the Technical department is appropriately staffed and actively promote a cooperative cross functional relationship with other departments. Support Production in achieving RFT manufacturing and processing efficiency, while monitoring quality performance. Drive the creation of cost competitive formulae aligned to customer expectations. Provide technical service for customers, including product introduction, trial runs and complaint handling. Develop and conduct in house technical training for sales and production staff as appropriate. Prepare annual Technical Plan consistent with agreed business objectives as expressed in the annual Budget. Develop, agree and manage the annual Technical department Budget including manpower, expenses and Capex.

Person Specification ? Experience in the powder coatings industry essential, preferably, but not necessarily with an MNC. ? Unlikely that a suitable candidate will have less than 6 - 8 years experience in the industry in relevant roles. ? A graduate in Chemistry or related discipline. ? Reasonable competence in English, to facilitate dialogue with foreign partners. ? Capable of contributing at a senior level within the small management group, taking an overall view of the business.
